Huawei has a new range of flagship photography smartphones, and the P40 Series is shaping up to continue the company’s reputation of great camera talents. The P40, P40 Pro, and P40+ have three, four, and five cameras respectively. That includes up to a 10x optical zoom and AI photography systems that can cut out passersby and reflections.
The front gets a 6.1- or 6.58-inch display, which wraps around all four sides. Inside, there’s Huawei’s Kirin 990 5G SoC. The P40 Pro and P40 Pro+ get a 4,200 mAh battery and up to 40W wireless and wired charging, too.
The big question will be whether people can look beyond the absence of Google apps and services. Huawei is pushing its own app store and services, but they’re going to be a tough sell outside of China.
