Huawei MateBook X Pro Gallery

Huawei's latest Windows 10 notebook has a secret: a James Bond-style pop-out camera. The MateBook X Pro, launched at Mobile World Congress 2018, looks at first glance like your average ultrabook, albeit one with vanishingly small bezels around its 3k touchscreen. That has forced some creativity in where to put the webcam.

As a result, hit the button between the F6 and F7 keys and up pops the webcam. Press it down again and it's powered off completely, a handy reassurance around privacy. Above it there's a 14-inch display, while it shares chassis-space with Core i5 and i7 processors, up to 16 GB of RAM, and discrete NVIDIA graphics.

Despite the size, Huawei found room for two Thunderbolt 3 ports – with support for an external GPU – along with a USB Type A and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Battery life is up to 15 hours, task depending. It'll hit shelves in April 2018.
