Google Chromecast with Google TV Gallery (2020)

Google's streaming entertainment dongle is getting a glow-up for 2020, with the new Chromecast with Android TV debuting a new look, new remote, and new interface. As before, it plugs into the back of your TV and offers access to all of your streaming services – now in 4K HDR with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support – but now there are new ways to control it and to get recommendations.

The voice remote adds another option to Google Assistant voice control through a smart speaker, or the Chromecast app. It has dedicated YouTube and Netflix shortcuts, as well as the ability to control your TV's power, volume, and input. An Assistant button and built-in microphone handles voice search.

As for the UI, that's courtesy of the new Google TV. Built on Android TV OS, it's designed to not only show you the best recommendations from the services you subscribe to, but live TV options and curated suggestions as well. It'll go on sale in the US on September 30, priced at $49.99.
