D-Link Omna 180 Cam HD HomeKit Camera Gallery

D-Link has made the first HomeKit-compatible connected security camera, and there's no denying that the Omna 180 Cam HD looks the part. Inside the brushed aluminum cylinder there's a 1080p Full HD sensor and a very-wide-angle 180-degree lens. That fits more of your room into the frame than most.

In the Omna's favor is the absence of ongoing subscription fees. Video is saved to a microSD card rather to the cloud, which is cheaper though lacks off-site backup peace-of-mind. Infrared LEDs help the camera see in the dark.

Motion detection can trigger recordings, as well as be used for other automations in Apple's Home app. There's also two-way audio and the ability to save clips from the Omna camera to your iPhone. Unfortunately, any Android users in the house are out of luck, since D-Link doesn't have an app for them.
