What do you do if the Bugatti Chiron doesn't quite handle with the intensity you were hoping? You join the very exclusive wait-list for the Chiron Pur Sport, the automaker's newest iteration on its hypercar. Set to go into production later this year, it's a version of the Chiron with corners in mind.

The W12 engine still gets four turbochargers, 1,479 horsepower, and 1,180 lb-ft of torque. However it'll rev higher, and the transmission has 15-percent shorter gears. That pays dividends in in-gear acceleration, as well as trimming the 0-62 mph time to just 2.3 seconds. Top speed is now limited to 217 mph.

New tires – custom to the Chiron Pur Sport – along with new suspension, chassis tweaks, aero and more add up to a Bugatti deeply at home in the twisties. If you have enough space to go sideways, meanwhile, the new ESC-Sport+ mode will tame the nannies and allow some drifting action. Just be careful not to dent it: at $3,599,000 this is not a car you want to scratch.
