BMW Vision Next 100 Gallery

BMW is celebrating its 100 year anniversary in 2016, and what better way to mark the occasion than with a quartet of concept cars. The company is showing off the first model in a new line of four, one from each of its brands, to represent how it expects driving to evolve in the next one hundred years.

First up is the BMW Vision Next 100, a coupe-styled sedan which flips between autonomous and traditionally-driven modes. In the latter, the car does its best to keep BMW's reputation as creator of the "Ultimate Driving Machine" alive, with hints on racing line, speed, and steering input.

Switch over to autonomous mode, however, and the car's dashboard retracts and the seats pivot, allowing those inside to chatter away while the Vision Next 100 handles the dull Autobahn.

Still to come are three further concepts, from MINI, Rolls-Royce, and finally BMW Motorrad.
