Aston Martin Valhalla AM-RB 003 Gallery

Aston Martin can't seem to stop making mid-engined hypercars these days, and latest in the series is the AM-RB 003. Following on from the Valkyrie and Valkyrie AMR Pro, the new car promises to be the most road-focused yet. That means a hybrid powertrain but a cabin more suited to road than track.

The engine will pair an in-house designed turbocharged V6 with an electrification system. Aston Martin isn't ready to spill the details on how powerful it will be yet, nor how fast AM-RB 003 should go, but it is pointing out that this marks the return of the automaker designing its own engines. It'll be paired with a FlexFoil variable airfoil, that can morph to adjust airflow over the car and thus levels of downforce.

Inside, there's a pared-back cabin with the focus on the driver. Aston Martin has made sure there's more luggage space, too, and it ought to be easier to get in thanks to LMP-1-inspired doors with roof-cutouts. 3D printing, meanwhile, is used for the center console, which helps keep the weight down. Aston Martin says production will kick off in late 2021.
