Amazon's Echo Show returns for a second generation, and it's an altogether more impressive smart speaker. Now with a 10-inch screen, for twice the display area, the new Echo Show gives Alexa's visually-updated skills more room to play. There's also an upgraded audio system, with significantly more bass.

New features like a redesigned landing page for Prime Video help with content discovery. Meanwhile partnerships with some of the big online recipe sites make following instructions and videos more straightforward. An integrated Zigbee hub allows the new Echo Show to be the smart home hub for your connected lights, locks, and more.

Later on, there'll be Skype video calling support, joining Amazon's own video call service. All of the best features will also be brought to the original Echo Show, and the new model will work with the upcoming Fire TV Recast, too.
