A gallery of two BMW luxury monsters

If big, brawny, Bavarian luxury sports sedans are you thing, then BMW has a treat for you. The North American International Auto Show 2016 sees the global debut of both the 2017 BMW M760i xDrive and the 2017 BMW Alpina B7, two surprisingly different interpretations toward the same ideal.

That ideal, of course, is going very fast in a large degree of luxury. For BMW, it's the first time the M Sport team has been set loose on the 7 Series, with a V12 6.0-liter engine and a somewhat subtle body kit.

Meanwhile, the Alpina B7 sees the independent BMW tuner take the 7 Series and work its magic with a new 4.4 liter 8-cylinder engine fitted with twin-turbos. Like the M760i, it offers 600 horsepower and a cabin full of technology.
