Faster, more aerodynamic, and more striking than its predecessor, the new 2022 911 GT3 is a sight to behold. Bristling with new aero work – including a huge swan-neck rear spoiler – the race-honed, road-legal GT3 promises to be among Porsche’s most engaging cars. That, of course, assumes you can live up to it.
The engine is a naturally-aspirated 4.0-liter boxer-six, with a 9,000 rpm redline. Think 502 hp and 346 lb-ft of torque, good for 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 197 mph. A seven-speed PDK transmission with paddle shifters is standard; a six-speed manual is an option. Either way, you get a new double-wishbone front and multilink rear suspension system.
Inside, there’s a custom transmission lever for the PDK, and a new drive mode dial on the steering wheel. 20-inch front wheels and 21-inch rear wheels are standard; ceramic composite brakes are optional. Expect it in Porsche dealerships in the US come fall 2021.
