2022 Nissan Frontier Gallery

Nissan's big pickup is getting a revamp, with the 2022 Frontier picking up some bold new styling. A bigger grille, more aggressive fascia, and burlier fenders help give the new Frontier some extra street presence, while the 3.8-liter V6 is carried over from the old model. That packs 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque, and is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission

There's a choice of 2WD or 4WD, with Nissan adding a Frontier PRO-X with 2WD to go with the existing Frontier PRO-4X for those who need the style but not the extra driven wheels. 4WD Frontier models get a shift-on-the-fly 4-wheel drive system, with 2WD/4HI/4LO modes and an electronically-controlled part-time transfer case. A 4-wheel limited-slip system is optional.

Inside, there's a tech upgrade with a 9-inch touchscreen offered. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and there's no shortage of cubbies and bins to go with the two bed lengths. Expect the 2022 Frontier to arrive in dealerships in summer 2021.
