2022 Mercedes-Benz EQA Gallery

Mercedes has a new gateway to its electric range, with the most affordable EQ model set to be the 2022 EQA. An electric crossover, it's a sibling to the GLA compact SUV, and will arrive first as the EQA 250. That'll have a single electric motor for front-wheel drive, and a range Mercedes expects to clock in at 265 miles on the WLTP cycle.

It'll do 0-62 mph in 8.9 seconds, and recharge from 10-80% in 30 minutes on a 100 kW DC fast charger. Down the line, Mercedes says, there'll be all-wheel drive versions as well as models with more performance, together with an EQA with 300+ miles of range.

Inside, there's an updated version of MBUX, Mercedes' infotainment system. That gets special EV-related features, like smart route planning that can take into account where and when you'll charge, how long it'll take you at each stop, and how traffic, weather, road topography, and more can impact your trip and battery levels. The EQA will arrive in Europe from spring 2021.
