2022 Infiniti QX55 Gallery

It's been almost two decades since Infiniti first turned heads with the striking FX SUV, and now it's aiming to do that all over again with the 2022 QX55. Slotting in as the luxury, coupe-inspired sibling of the QX50, the new crossover trades a little practicality in the name of style. That also means adopting some even more exaggerated elements from Infiniti's current design language.

So, there's a huge grille and a swooping roofline, plus complex lights front and rear using clusters of LEDs. Inside, the cabin promises a surprising degree of cargo and rear legroom space, along with tech like wireless Apple CarPlay, embedded 4G, and ProPILOT Assist with lane-keeping and adaptive cruise control. Options include semi-aniline leather and a head-up display on higher trims, while 20-inch wheels are standard.

Under the hood there's a single engine option, a 2.0-liter inline-4 using the automaker's VC-Turbo system. That's good for 268 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque, with a CVT as standard and all-wheel drive. We'll know pricing and more specifications closer to the North American debut, in spring 2021.
