2021 Toyota Venza Gallery

Toyota is giving the Venza another try, but whereas the last time we saw the nameplate it was attached to a gangly almost-wagon, this time around it's a sleek crossover SUV. The 2021 Venza will be offered as a hybrid only, with a 2.5-liter inline-4 paired with three electric motors. That'll allow it to do all-wheel drive without a mechanical link between the front and rear axles.

Toyota is estimating 40 mpg combined, which is impressive, and promising 219 horsepower There'll be Normal, Eco, EV, and Sport modes, and a predictive system which learns from how and where the Venza is used, and automatically adjusts things like regenerative braking preemptively. 18-inch wheels are standard, with 19-inches on the XLE and Limited trims.

Inside, there's a decent amount of standard tech, including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa. More interesting is the optional Star Gaze roof, a panoramic glass moonroof that flips electrochromatically from clear to frosted. Expect the new 2021 Venza to arrive in dealerships in the summer of 2020.
