2020 BMW X3 M and X4 M Gallery

The world needs faster SUVs, and BMW is here to oblige. It set the M Sport division on the X3 and X4, and gave them access to the brand new 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline-six engine. That's good for 473 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque, and a 0-60 mph time of 4.1 seconds.

There's also a 2020 X3 M Competition and X4 M Competition package available. That bumps the horsepower to 503 hp, and trims 0.1 seconds from the 0-60 mph time. It also tweaks the exterior styling, though all of the cars get different grille treatments, M-specific rear spoilers, and other bodywork changes.

Inside, sports seats and leather are standard, as is navigation and Apple CarPlay. A head-up display is optional, as is an extended leather package, wireless phone charging, and more. The new cars will go into production in the US in April 2019.
