2020 Audi Q5 55 TFSI e PHEV Gallery

Audi may have its e-tron line-up of all-electric vehicles, but at the same time the automaker also has a range of plug-in hybrids like the 2020 Q5 55 TFSI e. Based on the popular Q5 crossover SUV, it pairs a gas engine with an electric drivetrain. That uses a 14.1 kWh lithium-ion battery, topped up with a 7.7 kW onboard charger.

Total system power is 362 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. Top speed is 130 mph, or 85 mph in all-electric mode, and the Q5 PHEV is EPA-rated for 20 miles of electric-only driving. Altogether, you're looking at 27 mpg combined, or 65 MPGe.

Pricing kicks off at $52,900 plus destination, though that's before any federal tax incentives owners may qualify for. It joins the existing A7 and A8 PHEVs in the US, along with the all-electric e-tron SUV and e-tron Sportback.
