2020 Audi e-tron Gallery

Audi's 2020 e-tron promises to shake up the electric SUV segment, and now the German automaker is previewing the new luxury EV. Although things have toned down somewhat from the original e-tron quattro concept, that doesn't make the cabin dull. In fact, it's a sleek combination of what we've come to expect from Audi along with some high-tech additions.

The driver gets full digital instrumentation to look at, and two stacked touchscreens in the center console. They variously handle navigation, multimedia, HVAC, handwriting recognition, and more. Since there's no driveshaft, the rear passengers get a flat floor, too.

Most eye-catching are the camera side mirrors, which replace dull old glass with two cameras beaming live feeds to OLED screens embedded in the doors. Clever stuff, but sadly not to be offered in the US, where regulations don't allow for such niceties. Still, there's plenty to like ahead of the 2020 e-tron's on-sale date, expected in the US in early 2019.
