Aston Martin may not be the first luxury car maker to enter the SUV space, but that’s not to say the 2020 DBX hasn’t been worth waiting for. Promising a more performance-minded interpretation of all-wheel drive, the new DBX won’t be short on power. That’s courtesy of the same 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 as in the Vantage and DB11.
Outside, Aston Martin’s familiar swooping lines meet a more upright body. There’s an all-wheel-drive system with a carbon propeller shaft, active center differential, and an electronically controlled rear locking differential, each the handiwork of engine-maker Mercedes-AMG. 0-60 mph should come in 4.3 seconds, with a top speed of 181 mph.
Inside, as well as the extra seats the 2020 DBX gets a combination of leather, milled aluminum, glass, and high-grade Alcantara. A 12.3-inch display sits in front of the driver, with a 10.25-inch screen in the center console. Expect it to go on sale in 2020, priced from $189,000.
