2019 McLaren 600LT Gallery

You have to be something special to wear McLaren's "Longtail" name: noticeably longer. In the case of the new McLaren 600LT, fourth car to get the "LT" badging, that means 2.9-inches extra, courtesy of an extended front splitter, lengthened rear diffuser, and a fixed rear wing. It's all in the name of increasing downforce "substantially" both on the road and the track.

Lashings of carbon fiber deliver weight losses to go along with those length increases. Dry weight, with all the relevant options – including a carbon fiber roof and the seats from the Senna – checked, is just over 2,749 pounds. Then, McLaren slots in its twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8, mustering for 592 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque.

Some custom Pirelli rubber and various other exclusive extras round out the package. McLaren will be making them by hand, and numbers will be extremely limited: the coupe production run is expected to only last for around twelve months. Pricing will be confirmed when sales kick off in October 2018.
