2019 Genesis G70 Gallery

Genesis' first G70 is a new segment for the company, but it doesn't promise to be an easy one. The midsize premium luxury sport sedan category has some fierce competition, but the South Korean company is confident the 2019 G70 has what it takes to carve out a niche among the BMW, Audi, and Lexus rivals. To do that, it start with some solid underpinnings.

That's the same platform that Kia has used to great success with the Stinger, here customize for Genesis' luxury sporting purposes. Two engines are offered, a 2.0-liter and a 3.3-liter, with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive along with both manual and automatic options. A 3.3T Dynamic Edition throws in special suspension tuning and Brembo brakes with performance pads, in with the limited slip differential.

In the cabin, Genesis punches above its weight in terms of design and quality of materials. It's not quite the stark cabin of the Genesis Essentia concept, but it's not a bad place to find yourself. Meanwhile, standard-fit equipment is more than healthy.
