2019 Chevrolet Silverado Gallery

Chevrolet has taken the wraps off the 2019 Silverado, at the Detroit Auto Show 2018. The company's latest truck comes at the 100 year anniversary of Chevy's truck-making, and there's plenty riding on it. Longer and taller than its predecessor, the new Silverado will arrive in the 2019 model year with eight different variants, as the automaker tries to cater to every whim of the truck-buying public.

That includes a new 3.0-liter Duramax diesel, which Chevrolet says should out-perform Ford's recently announced F-150 diesel. There'll be a new 6.2-liter V8, too, and a new 5.3-liter, and each will be able to deactivate up to seven of their cylinders for economy gains. The 3.0-liter Duramax and 6.2-liter V8 will be paired with a 10-speed automatic.

Unfortunately, there are still some gaps in the information. Chevy hasn't said how much the 2019 Silverado will cost, nor detailed all the different engine and transmission options. Most importantly, we don't know when the 2019 Silverado will actually reach dealerships.
