2019 BMW M2 Competition Gallery

How do you improve one of the most entertaining cars in BMW's line-up? You take the M2 Coupe and replace it with the 2019 BMW M2 Competition, that's how. BMW has taken the same engine technology from the M3 and M4 and revamped it for the new, smaller coupe.

That means you still get 3.0-liters and an inline-six, but it's now good for 405 horsepower. A six-speed manual is still standard; a dual clutch seven-speed is an option. 0-62 mph times drop by about 0.2 seconds over the old car.

New interior trim is joined by dedicated controls for the key driver settings; the M2 Competition also gets the M1 and M2 preset buttons on the steering wheel that we saw on the BMW M5, too. Redesigned bodywork signals it out as the updated model, too. Expect it in showrooms from summer 2018.
