The Audi Sport family has gained another member, with the 2019 Audi RS 5 Sportback bringing 5 door coupe style to the party. The latest of the German automaker’s pumped-up performance cars, the new RS 5 Sportback packs a 2.9-liter V6 engine with a turbocharged 444 horsepower output. All-wheel drive is standard, as you’d expect.
There’s also a 7-speed Tiptronic transmission and 443 lb-ft of torque. 0-60 mph arrives in under four seconds, and the car will rocket on to 174 mph with the optional Dynamic plus package fitted. Audi’s usual Drive Mode system offers everything from Sport through to Comfort settings.
Inside, the Virtual Cockpit is an option but there’s plenty of active safety tech as standard. S sport seats with RS embossing are included, along with a flat-bottomed leather RS sport steering wheel. It’ll arrive in dealerships in the second half of 2018.
