2019 Acura RDX Gallery

Acura has brought its 2019 RDX Prototype to the Detroit Auto Show 2018, but make no mistake, this is pretty darn close to what we're expecting from the production car. Set to go on sale midway through this year, the new 2019 RDX is a ground-up reworking of Acura's best-selling SUV. That includes a longer wheelbase for more cabin space, and the new corporate nose.

Inside, legroom is up for the five occupants, and there's a new infotainment system. Based on the Acura Precision Cockpit concept, that mounts a 10.2-inch display atop the dashboard, but controls it via a touchpad in the center console. Each point on the trackpad is mapped 1:1 to a point on the display, lending to muscle-memory.

Meanwhile, there's a 2.0-liter DOHC VTEC Turbo engine and a 10-speed transmission. SH-AWD is returning to the RDX, and the NSX donates its drive mode system. Expect full details on the production model later in 2018.
