2018 Subaru WRX and WRX STI Gallery

The 2018 Subaru WRX and Subaru WRX STI are a pair of rally-bred turbocharged sedans that leverage all-wheel drive and a performance-oriented suspension setup to deliver affordable fun in the compact segment. The STI model goes a step further by appealing to drivers who want a dual-purpose track and street car.

The entry-level Subaru WRX features a 268 horsepower, 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine matched with a six-speed manual transmission or an optional continually-variable automatic. The WRX STI swaps in a 2.5-liter turbo that's good for 305 horses, and it also adds a Driver Controlled Center Differential (DCCD) that offers manual control over the torque split front and rear.

Aesthetically, the cars have been tweaked for 2018, with the option to now delete the large rear wing on the WRX STI in favor of a more modest lip spoiler. The STI's brake calipers – which are now six-piston instead of four – have also been painted bright yellow. The standard WRX gains the option of the Performance Package, which installs Recaro seats and Jurid brake pads, and both cars have seen numerous small styling and design updates inside and out.
