2018 Range Rover Velar Gallery

Any new Range Rover is a big deal, but the 2018 Velar is a bigger deal than most. The fourth model in the company's line-up, it nestles in-between the Evoque and the Ranger Rover Sport with an aluminum-rich construction and a pared-back aesthetic. That means eye-catching details like copper trim and pop-out door handles.

Under the hood there's a choice of either a 2-liter gas or diesel engine, or a supercharged gas V6. All are paired with an 8-speed automatic, and have all the off-roading abilities you'd expect from the automaker. Air suspension is optional, as are convenience features like Advanced Tow Assist.

Inside, there's space for five in a minimalistic cabin. Range Rover's new InControl Touch Pro Duo infotainment system puts twin 10-inch touchscreens into the dashboard, along with capacitive buttons and multi-function rotary controllers. A 23-speaker, 1,600W Meridian audio system is an option. The 2018 Velar goes on sale in the US this year, priced from $49,900. European Model Shown
