2018 Lexus RX L Gallery

Lexus' RX is the automaker's most popular car, but for some family buyers it's counted out of contention even before they reach the showroom. Until now, you see, the RX has only been offered as a two-row car, with no space in the back for a third row of passengers. That, at the LA Auto Show 2017, all changes.

On the one hand there's the RX350L. That uses Lexus' 3.5-liter V6 engine, and puts a row of seats in the trunk. There's the choice of all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive, along with 290 hp and 263 lb.-ft. of torque.

Alternatively, the RX450hL is the hybrid choice. It gets a 3.5-liter V6 gas engine with two high-torque electric drive motor-generators, for a total of 308 HP. AWD is standard.
