At the heart of the new 2018 Audi RS 3 is a five-cylinder 2.5 TSFI engine, delivering 400 hp and peak torque of 354 lb.-ft. and 0-62.1mph in just 4.1 seconds. It's paired with a lightning fast seven-speed S tronic automatic transmission (gearshift paddles free of charge). That's a gain of 33 more horsepower and Audi Sport managed to shave off a total of 57.3-pounds, compared to the predecessor. The weight reduction is primarily due to the new aluminium crankcase. the quattro all-wheel-drive system is the same with the addition of new software.

Difference in dimensions between the RS 3 vs A3/S3

The front track has been widened by 20mm which is combination of 7mm x 2 wheel offset and 3mm x 2 for a more robust wheel hub. The body is 25mm (1-inch) lower than the base model.

RS exclusive exterior changes: Singleframe with quattro logo and honeycomb grill, striking blade on the front, large air inlets, flared wheel arches, rear spoiler lip, differ insert, RS exhaust system with large oval tailpipes.

On the inside, RS-embossed seats featuring contrast stitching in gray and red, comes standard. There's also an option for RS sport seats with integrated head restraints, diamond quilting and colored perforation. Titanium gray with 3D glass-look inlays come standard but there's also an option for carbon fiber and aluminium Race design light.

Opting for the Audi Technology package will get you the eye-popping Audi virtual cockpit with high-resolution 12.3-inch display. It offers three viewing modes, including an RS screen with large rev counter.
