2018 Aston Martin DB11 Volante Gallery

Aston Martin's latest iteration of the DB11 is this, the 2018 DB11 Volante. Taking the coupe – and its all-new bonded aluminum structure – and slicing off the top, the convertible aims to be the best luxury sports grand tourer around. The DB11 coupe's dramatic styling has been carried over for the most part, paired with a new 8-layer fabric hood.

That folds down smaller than before, increasing trunk space dramatically over the outgoing DB9 Volante. Dropped, it reveals the car's striking wood or carbon fiber inserts behind the front seats, along with a cabin that keeps the tech upgrades of its fixed-roof sibling. It also gets the DB11 V8's engine, a 4.0-liter turbo matched to an 8-speed automatic with paddle shifters.

Ask Aston Martin, and they'll say the 2018 DB11 Volante is the "ultimate" in sports GT cars. With a starting price of over $216k you'd certainly hope so.
