The 2017 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition is one of the top tier models of the completely-redesigned mid-size pickup. Riding on a unibody platform that shares more with the Honda Pilot crossover SUV than with a traditional truck, the Ridgeline is unique in what it brings to the utility-focused market.
All versions of the Honda Ridgeline come with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that’s rated at 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard, while buyers can choose between front-wheel and all-wheel drive models.
The Ridgeline offers a number of intriguing and practical features, including lockable in-bed storage, a tailgate that can open downwards or swing out to the side, and significant cabin storage. There’s also a speaker system embedded in the cargo bed that lets you picnic in style. When properly equipped, the Honda pickup can tow up to 5,000 lbs.
