2017 Alpina B7 Gallery

The 2017 Alpina B7 isn't an M7, but it's about as close as you'll get. A bespoke interpretation of BMW's 7 Series with a serious sporting bent, the Bavarian bruiser takes the luxury barge and throws a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 under the hood. That means 600 HP and 590 lb-ft. of torque.

With a top speed of 193 mph – over 200 mph if you're in Europe – the B7 is certainly fast. 0-60 mph comes in a claimed 3.6 seconds, a count which seems on the conservative side to us. What really sets the B7 apart, though, is how well it handles.

Alpina has reworked the air suspension and active dampers, made the all-wheel steering more aggressive, and added a new Sport+ mode. The result is a car which drives like an M5, only with 600 HP on tap. Inside, you sacrifice none of the usual 7 Series luxury, and you have the reassurance of knowing that you're highly unlikely to bump into another Alpina owner at the grocery store.
