2016 Cadillac CT6 gallery

Cadillac is wheeling out the big guns, and they don't get much bigger in the US company's range than the 2016 CT6. Brand new, and looking to take a bite out of the fortunes of Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi with a distinctly American take on luxury, the CT6 also debuts a brand new engine for the Cadillac brand.

A 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo, paired with a new eight-speed automatic with paddle-shifters, it's half of what makes the CT6 special. The other half is how lightweight it is: thanks to plenty of aluminum, and a homegrown manufacturing system, Cadillac has brought its luxury sedan in at less than the weight of an E-Class from the segment below.

2017 will bring Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving, and there's a plug-in hybrid on the roadmap to join the V6 Twin Turbo, 3.6L naturally-aspirated V6, and four-cylinder 2.0L Turbo. It'll hit forecourts in March 2016.
