Guitar Hero: Aerosmith video lacks in both guitars and Aerosmith

I'm a big fan of both Aerosmith, and classic rock in general, so I'm looking forward to Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. Sure, I'm expecting it to be the best game in the series, but it can't be much worse than the 80's edition, right? Well one of the first videos of the game have been released, so check it out after the jump.

I'm not really sure who was in charge of putting this video together, but I hope they were fired. You're advertising a game called Guitar Hero Aerosmith. So what two things would you think someone would prominantly display in a video? My guess would be the Guitar, and the band Aeorosmith. Since I don't get paid to create these kinds of videos, I'm going to guess that I have no idea what I'm talking about, since the video barely has any of these two elements.

I don't know who the hell Run DMC is, but for some reason he is featured in this video more than anything (or anyone) else. First they show off some song of his where he sings (raps?) for a long while without any guitar accompaniment. In fact, you have to watch over 30 seconds of the video before you hear the first note on a guitar.

After damn near an entire minute of this guy, we are finally catch a glimpse of Aerosmith. This is all good and well until the lyrics start up, then guess who's singing? Steven Tyler? God no, why the hell would we want to hear him singing his own song when we can hve Run DMC singing it for him? It even lists the song as Walk This Way by Run DMC featuring Aerosmith.

So is this how the game is going to be? If I were to base any shred of my purchasing decision on this video, I wouldn't even consider buying it. Too little guitar and too little Aerosmith.

Maybe I'm being a little harsh on the video, but how many uninformed gamers are going to see this and get completely turned off to the game? After that whole Guitar Hero: On Tour video, I'm starting to wonder who it is exactly that comes up with these.
