Guardians of the Galaxy Trailer 2: closer to truth

This week another Guardians of the Galaxy trailer has been released with cuts far closer to what the final film will look like than the first couple of glimpses we got earlier this year. As you'll see below, these changes are mostly in the background – when Djimon Hounsou (aka Korath the Pursuer) steps forth to dismiss Chris Pratt's character Star-Lord's claim to fame, it's no longer a cloudy day. Instead they're standing inside a collection of structures, massive and ancient.

You'll also find the moment when Korath says "who?" to be "fixed", but not when Star-Lord, otherwise known as Peter Quill, walks through the door. There you'll still see clouds. In fact whenever you see some general dark cloud matter flying through the environment behind the main action in this – and a lot of other early film trailers – you can assume it'll be different once you see the full film.

This trailer is shorter than the original full 2-minute trailer but has a few additional moments not appearing in the original. It's also showing a more complete scene with Quill and Korath, if only a tiny bit more so.

Below you'll find a video presented by Marvel Entertainment. It's made for the Avengers cartoon – one of the more recent productions on the scene – but describes the Guardians of the Galaxy in extremely simple terms. Have a peek!

Finally – just in case you've not yet seen it – we've got the full 2-minute (and 30 second) original trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy. Watch out for clouds!

Watch out for Brule as well. Here you'll see Drax, Gamora, Rocket, Star-Lord, and Groot as well. This film is set to arrive on August 1st, 2014.
