Grim Fandango Remastered coming to Nintendo Switch

Classic hit Grim Fandango was remastered in the relatively recent past and is currently available for PlayStation 4, Android, iOS, and some other platforms. Double Fine Productions, the developer behind the game, announced this week that the remastered version of the game will also soon be available for Nintendo Switch.Grim Fandango was originally announced for Windows back in 1998, having the distinction of being LucasArts' first 3D adventure game. The game has a unique style that involves drawn, static colored background with 3D animations overlaid onto them. The game found itself a faithful following.

During an event last night, Double Fine announced that both its remastered Grim Fandango and its Broken Age will be coming to the Nintendo Switch. Broken Age was released in 2014, and is a point-and-click adventure already available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, iOS, Android, PS Vita, and the three big desktop operating systems.

It's a great announcement for both Grim Fandango and Nintendo Switch fans, but we're still lacking certain details. Double Fine hasn't yet stated when the games will be available on Switch, nor price. The company did indicate that it'll be available by the year's end, though.
