Google's Nexus 5X gets a price cut

If you've been thinking about upgrading your old and busted Android phone, now might be a good time. Google recently announced that they would be making a permanent price cut to their popular entry-level phone, the Nexus 5X. It might not be the deepest discount, but it certainly helps.

Until the price cut, you could pick up the Nexus 5X for $379 or $429, depending on whether or not you wanted 16GB or 32GB of storage. With the new $30 price cut, that moves the phone down to $349 and $399, respectively.

While a $30 price cut may not seem like much, getting the phone down to the sub-$350 mark really makes it an easier buy for some people. It's also nice for those signing up for the Google Fi service, who need to pick up a Nexus 5X. If you're one of those people, and you need to pay for the phone over time, that puts your payment down below $15 a month.
