Google Search now tells you how to make a proper 'Sidecar'

How do you make a proper Manhattan? What about a Martini? Maybe you're just not clear on how ingredients for a Margarita are cobbled together before being poured over ice. If that sounds like you, an app may be a good idea. Or, you can just ask Google. Search will now tell you how to make popular drinks, with step-by-step directions and a list of ingredients. Google will even tell you what kind of glassware is appropriate, and offer up serving suggestions and garnish ideas.

If you're one to experiment, you might have your own favorite way of making a drink. Say, honeysuckle bitters in a Manhattan (seriously, try it). Google might not show that, but it's because the knowledge graph powering search finds the most popular options.

Based on search data, Google will feed you a popular drink option. You'll also get the most widely used ingredients suggested, which is all culled form a variety fo sources, including Wikipedia and web search.

The content is refreshed routinely, so if a new-school way of making a Fuzzy Navel or Greyhound comes up, you'll be in the know.

Fortunately, this feature is also available on mobile. Next time you're standing at your wet bar at home and draw a blank on how to make a drink, just pull your phone out and ask Google Now. The feature is, of course, Available on both iOS and Android.
