Google+ Public Posts Now Appear In Social Search

Google continues to fine tune its search making it more relevant for you by incorporating aspects from your social networks—one of them now being Google+. Today, the search giant has announced that it will be making public Google+ posts available in search results as part of its Social Search feature.

The Google Social Search project was launched back in 2009 and was updated in February to integrate social search results with regular search results. But now those social search results will include items shared publicly on the Google+ social platform.

For example, when you are logged into your Google account and you do a search for a local restaurant that someone in your Google+ circles happened to have shared a review about, you will see that particular review in your search results along with an annotation underneath showing a small thumbnail of your friend's profile image and a message that they've shared this on Google+.
