Google Pixel Slate ships today

Today's the day Google's latest Chromebook ships to users that've already ordered the device. This is the first wave of releases for this device after a bit of a confusing launch – what with the "later this year" business, and all. The fact that shipping started today was confirmed just this morning by both excited recipients of emails and Google itself.

This is just about a month and a half after the reveal of the Pixel Slate in New York City. That was right at the same time as the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL were first revealed officially. While the Pixel 3's been on the market for a few weeks, this afternoon is the first Google's made shipping times official.
