Google Pixel 4 phone release leaks in video, 4a not long behind

This morning the Google Pixel 4 was shown from all angles before Google's official release date (or indeed reveal date) for said device. This is one of two devices – there'll be a Google Pixel 4 and a Google Pixel 4 XL, both of which will likely be revealed in October (or late September) of 2019. This leak included views of the device from all sides and a peek at software.

Android 10 will launch on the Google Pixel 4, without a doubt. Based on what we've seen of the Android 10 update for Pixel 3 so far, this means Pixel 4 will come with a gesture-focused experience, along with new camera features that point toward Augmented Reality expansion.

The original video comes from SlashLeaks, who in turn suggest the original came from Malaysia mobile device carrier "Halo Mobile". We've taken the original and split the feed in two, slowed video down, and re-posted to YouTube for extreme convenience. Have a peek at the timeline below for additional leaks and info on the Pixel 4 and 4 Plus.

Another rumor posted on Weibo (source link since deleted) by user 手机泄漏哇 (Mobile Phone Leaks Wow) suggest the existence and future release of the Google Pixel 4a, albeit not for several months at least. Given the Google Pixel 3a's success in the United States, it's no wonder that Google would want to spread the "cover all bases" methodology across the next several seasons of smartphone releases.

The plan is to replace the Google Pixel 3a with a Google Pixel 4a in the first half of 2019 with a price point that's either the same as the Pixel 3a or ever-so-slightly higher. The Google Pixel 3a was launched in early 2019 with a starting price of $399 USD. Google also has an "eligible iPhone trade in" offer on their online store where they suggest users can (with said trade-in) get a Pixel 3a for $149 USD.
