God of War gameplay: 15 minutes of GLORY

Today Sony released a whopping 15 minutes of gameplay for God of War 2018 – aka God of War PS4. This game is a whole new world for our best buddy Kratos, in gameplay, in weaponry, and in mythology. This game is no longer played with a fixed-camera point of view, instead opting for over-the-shoulder free camera action. And there's no more double-chained blades – SHOCK.

Kratos has a little buddy in this edition of the game series. Here, he's brought along his son, like some sort of Shogun Assassin type of situation. Kratos' son is named Atreus, which we can only assume is derived from Atreyu, hero of Fantasica. And I swear to god if we have to see another horse drown in the Swamps of Sadness, I just don't know what I'll do.

BUT for now I think we're safe, and in this gameplay video we're safe, for the goodness of the developers of God of War grants their kindness to horses. Instead, we'll be making sure all the trolls, ogres, draugrs, and revenants are hewn with great accuracy. Especially since we've got a child present.

Kratos is able to use hand-to-hand combat in this game, as well as a new weapon by the name of "the Leviathan Axe." It is epic, and it is good. Much like Chris Hemsworth, Kratos is able to toss his weapon at an enemy then summon it back to his hand, as if by magic. The developers of this game suggested in the past that this game will take between 25-35 hours to complete.

God of War will be released on the 20th of April, 2018. At that time, users will be able to play God of War on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro – and that's it! Behold, the best reason to purchase a PlayStation 4 if one does not already have one in their possession!
