GMC Sierra All Mountain concept dominates the snow in Vail, Colorado

GMC has whipped up what might be the ultimate truck for conquering the snowy mountain roads and fields of Vail, Colorado. The truck is the 2018 GMC Sierra 2500HD All Mountain concept. The truck is said to be a one-of-a-kind snow-climbing machine. Rather than rolling on big wheels and tires, this concept has four tank-like treads.

The concept was built on a GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali 4WD Crew Cab platform. The truck has a 6.6L turbo-diesel V8 engine and all the fancy interior bits of the Sierra 2500HD Denali platform. The tank treads in place of the wheels are Mattracks technology.

The tracks are Mattracks 150 Series tracks with a GMC red finish. The truck also has lots of bodyside graphics along with wheel well and underbody LED lights. For the snowboarders out there, the truck has Snowboard racks and accessories from Thule.

The audio system features an amp and Dual Pod Speaker kit along with other accessories by Kicker. The truck is fitted with a RIGID E-Series 30-inch light bar.

The bed of the truck if cover by a soft roll-up tonneau cover by Advantage. That stock Duramax 6.6L turbo diesel engine has 445hp and 910 lb-ft of torque paired up with an Allison 1000 6-speed automatic transmission. The truck will be on display in Vail for the winter season.
