Gigabyte BRIX mini PC launches with Bay Trail

Gigabyte is back again with a new small form factor (mini) PC, and with it comes the inclusion of Intel's Bay Trail processor and Intel HD graphics. The BRIX GB-BXBT-2807 is available now for approximately $130 USD.

The latest Gigabyte BRIX desktop PC is a tiny computer offering, measuring in at 4.5- x 4.2- x 2.2-inches, and with that will be an Intel Celeron N2807 dual-core processor and Intel HD graphics — decent enough power for those with modest needs, but nothing that will handle strenuous use.

The connectivity will be varied, including HDMI for video out, Gigabit Ethernet, a couple USB 2.0 ports and a single USB 3.0 port, as well as Bluetooth 4.0 and 802.11n WiFi. Users will need to slip in their own memory and storage, however.

There's one slot for DDR3L 1333 memory, as well as support for a 2.5-inch HDD or SSD. That makes it effectively a bare-bones system, and if it meets your needs (an entertainment system PC, perhaps), you can grab one from various online retailers like Amazon.
