Galaxy S7 rumored to come in two models

Over the last few weeks, there have been quite a few rumblings about the Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphones. We saw benchmarks turn up this week showing that there would be two devices offered. We also learned that the devices were called Project Lucky internally. Two Galaxy S7 models have now been confirmed as the SM-G930 and the SM-G935.

The SM-G930 is said to be the flat display version and the SM-G935 the smartphone with the curved edges. Presumably the G930 will be the Galaxy S7 and the G935 the Galaxy S7 Edge. Both versions will be headed to Canada, China, Europe, Korea, and the US for sure.

We would assume all Samsung markets will get the device. For now carriers confirmed to be carrying the smartphones include Bell Mobility in Canada, in Korea, KT, LG Uplus, and SKTelecom. In the US Cricket, AT&T, MetroPCS, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and Verizon are confirmed.

The devices are also referred to the devices as Hero and Hero2. The two models seen in the benchmarks earlier this week are likely differentiated by the chipset inside. One model is tipped for an Exynos 8890 processor and the other for a Snapdragon 820. It's unclear which goes with each benchmark at this time.
