Fujitsu Loox R/C70 12-hour ultraportable

Fujitsu Japan have announced the Loox R/C70, an ultraportable notebook boasting a huge 12hr claimed battery life.  The 1.27kg laptop has a 1.2GHz Core 2 Duo SU9300 processor, a 12.1-inch display running at WXGA resolution, and 2GB of RAM; despite the size, storage isn't sacrificed as the C70 also has a 128GB SSD.

Connectivity includes gigabit ethernet, WiFi a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, and we're hoping Fujitsu roll out their 3G WWAN option to the ultraportable too.  Ports include three USB 2.0, a PC card slot, SD slot, VGA output and Firewire.  OS is a choice of Windows Vista or a downgrade to XP.  The whole thing measures around 280 x 207 x 27.3 – 37.4mm.

The Fujitsu Loox R/C70 will go on sale in Japan priced at around 280,000 Yen ($3,083).  Availability outside of the country has not been confirmed, though it would need a big price shift to remain competitive.
