Fujitsu add HSPA & EVDO 3G options to LifeBook notebooks & Tablets

Fujitsu have added high-speed 3G connectivity to a number of models in both their notebook and Tablet PC ranges.  The WWAN connectivity – of which both HSPA and, later, EV-DO options will be available, depending on model – is now available on five models, with a further two options following in Q2 2009.Full list of Fujitsu WWAN models after the cut

The newly-equipped models are the LifeBook T5010, T1010, P1630 and T2020 convertible Tablet PCs, which join the LifeBook U820 convertible mini notebook with integrated AT&T BroadbandConnect HSUPA.  Meanwhile the LifeBook T5010 Tablet PC and the LifeBook E8420 notebook will get EV-DO support – carrier unconfirmed, but we're presuming Verizon Wireless – in Q2 2009.

WWAN connectivity is expected to be a cost option on most models; for instance the LifeBook T5010 with HSPA is priced from $1,949.  It also looks like you drop the legacy modem if you go for the WWAN option.

Fujitsu Meets Massive Data Demands of Mobile Professionals and Travelers With Increased Support for AT&T HSUPA BroadbandConnect and EVDO

Fujitsu Computer Systems Corporation today announced expanded support for high-speed connectivity on multiple LifeBook(R) notebooks and tablet PCs.
