Facebook Music "Listen with your friend" leaks

Facebook's f8 conference kicks off in just a few hours, but the company's announcements keep leaking; next up is a "Listen with your friend" feature, apparently set to be added to the social network's new ticker. Facebook creative director Ji Lee accidentally revealed the communal streaming system in a promptly-deleted tweet, but not quick enough to stop Mitchell Holder from grabbing a screenshot. "Listen to what your friends are listening [to]" Lee says of the service, "LIVE."

The system will presumably add Facebook Music links to the ticker bar, TechCrunch suggests, along with a link marked "Listen with your friend" which will allow users to tune into a stream of the same track, sync'd to the same point. Lee likely has a pre-public version of the service active on his account, hence the premature tweet.

Facebook apparently continues to tweak its new music service, even as f8's launch approaches. The persistent music control bar, mentioned in initial leaks, has apparently been axed in favor of each app having its own controls. SlashGear will be at f8 today to cover all the juicy details; until then, check out our preview of the f8 Guidebook App.
