New Star Wars Rogue One trailer [UPDATE: Full collection and super-cut]

It's time again to begin diving in on our yearly Star Wars film, Rogue One – A Star Wars Story. That is, Star Wars: Rogue One, a Star Wars Anthology film, as it might have been called in the spring of 2015. For those of you that followed our coverage of Star Wars: The Force Awakens – you know good and well that we're not about to let a Star Wars film go getting released without analyzing it well and beyond that of a normal film.

We'll be beginning this collection with the first teaser trailer for Rogue One, then we'll move on to the proper full-length trailers, and on to the extras. Since Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released, the folks at Lucasfilm have started a program called the Star Wars Show, which, in turn, has given us quite a bit of awesome information about Rogue One in the form of profiles of characters, vehicles, and what-have-you.

Above is the first Teaser trailer, released five months ago.

Released just two months ago was this Rogue One: A Star Wars Story "Celebration Reel." That's from the UK edition of Star Wars: Celebration 2016, and this video contains a whole bunch of the most awesome behind-the-scenes action we've ever seen without the entire film being revealed in the process.

Also at that same Star Wars Celebration: UK edition was the following Rogue One Costume Exhibit.

Below is a very brief, but very beautiful look at the costumes of the next Star Wars film.

Next is one of the earliest Star Wars Show presentations – head to around 1-minute to see a brief look at a few Rogue One characters and vehicles.

Next is another episode of the Star Wars show, this time showing off Forest Whitaker's character Saw Gerrera. That's the same Saw we saw in the Star Wars: Clone Wars cartoon series.

We wouldn't have had to have known him from the Clone Wars for his character to make sense in Rogue One, but it'll certainly make this movie more awesome.

Then, below, came the Space Monkey.

Have a peek at our full feature Who is Bistan the Space Monkey? There you'll learn the true nature of the Space Monkey.

A tiny trailer tease is next – this is just a set of clips from the trailer that comes after it.

While these sorts of teasers can make some fans furious with their tease-for-tease nature, we can't help but enjoy the result of a creator being asked to syphon down the film to its most concentrated form. Hype at its purest.

Then there was Weird Al.

In this Star Wars Show, the creator of the greatest parody songs of all time speaks with the show and the show introduces another new Rogue One vehicle.

The first BIG trailer came on August 11th, 2016.

If you're not about being spoiled for the details of the film, now would have... actually, you know what? If you've read this far, you're definitely not the sort of person who minds learning all the details about the film before it's out. Have at it!

What follows is episodes 1-4 of a series called #GoRogue.

This series follows a variety of Star Wars action figures and toys of all sorts through their own alternate-reality Rogue One adventure.

Above: Episode 1. Below: Episode 2.

This series was part of a big initiative by Lucasfilm and Disney to promote not only the movie, but the toys as well.

SlashGear got in on the #GoRogue fun as well. Our big Rogue One Toy Collection Review included the following two videos showcasing some Black Series action figures.

Above: Rogue One Black Series action figure "Cassian Andor."

Below: Rogue One Black Series action figure "Jyn Erso."

The Star Wars Show delivered a set of Star Wars Rogue One toys as well, along with details about their relase (as seen in the next video on our list.)

Right before the final (first extra massive) trailer came this Star Wars Show, complete with details about the newest poster and the last trailer, too.

Finally, here's the big giant trailer first released on October 13th, 2016. This is the one we've been waiting for.

UPDATE: Below you'll see a super-cut of all the trailers released so far, as compiled by Science VS. Cinema on the 14th of October, one day after the "big giant trailer" above.

Now we have only to wait for the film itself! Stick around SlashGear's Rogue One tag portal and our Star Wars Twitter portal for more!
