Evernote Delivers App For Windows Phone 7

Evernote, one of the most popular note-taking services, has finally created an app for the Windows Phone 7 platform. But unlike the Evernote app for iOS and Android, this new release for Windows Phone 7 takes advantage of the panorama interface unique to the platform for an optimized experience and some additional features not available on the other platforms.

The Evernote app for Windows Phone 7 offers all the same note-taking features as do the other versions, but gets a Home Panorama view that shows four panels, which includes Notes, Notebooks, Tags, and Recent Notes. Notes can be created and edited more seamlessly than on other platforms and you can add multiple images and audio recordings to each note.

Premium subscribers have the option of storing their notes offline for accessing them without an internet connection. Some other features supported include a sophisticated search and a map interface for browsing notes by location.

With Windows Phone 7.1 Mango and its 500 plus new features heading in soon and increasingly more optimized apps for the platform as well as the abundance of well-built devices that Nokia plans to deliver, the tides may soon change for Microsoft. What do you think?
