ESPN will launch exclusive shows on Facebook Watch under new deal

ESPN has announced a new deal with Facebook that will result in it bringing new content to the social network's Facebook Watch platform. Under this agreement, ESPN says it will offer some exclusive content and digital shows on the video platform, including exclusive versions of its Fantasy Focus Live and Countdown to GameDay.

The Facebook Watch platform, though not as popular as YouTube and Twitch, is home to a growing number of sports content, including MLB games and NFL clips. Under its latest deal, ESPN says it will offer four digital shows on Facebook Watch:

- Always Late with Katie Nolan

- Countdown to GameDay

- Fantasy Focus Live

- The People's MMA Show

Always Late with Katie Nolan will arrive on TV starting on September 26 at 12:30 AM ET. ESPN says it will provide 'additional segments' on Facebook Watch, though it doesn't provide more details than that. The People's MMA Show, meanwhile, will be a weekly show that involves polls, live Q&As, viewer submissions, and more via ESPN's MMA Facebook Page.

Facebook Watch has been utilized by other networks and Leagues to offer other sports-related content. Earlier this month, for example, the NFL revealed that it had expanded its partnership with Facebook and that under the deal it will bring video versions of its podcasts to the platform, as well as videos of iconic moments from the League's history.
